Who Am I?
The Full Story
Primarily I am a family man, with 2 amazing wee people that keep me and my amazing wife busy, but they are the reason all this fitness started.

When our first was born and started walking I quickly realised I wouldn't be able to keep up with her when she was 4, never mind 14, and at the time I couldn't have run the length of myself.

The time to change had come. There was more to life than just me. Until this point, I had never:
- been in a gym
- lifted a weight
- felt like I could lift a weight
- had body confidence

And the thought of going to a gym made me nervous, anxious and scared to think what people would think of me.
So I contacted a private PT, and although I was nervous right up until I walked through the door, I still did it.

I was very unfit, fat, lacked body confidence and was almost ashamed of how I had let myself get to this point. At that point in time I thought I was overweight, but I now realise that weight isn’t the bigger picture. I now weigh more than I did then. So don’t just use weight to judge yourself. How you look and feel are way more important.

However, I was here, I had a why, I had a reason, I had the motivation. I would not fail. I couldn't do a pull up, a press up, or anything really. I didn't know the difference between a deadlift, a deadbug or roadkill to be honest. I worked out once a week with my personal trainer and the rest at home. The first thing I bought was a 20kg Kettlebell and that’s still in the gym today. It always will be. I guess it’s a reminder of where I have come from.

Fast forward 9 years. I am a personal trainer myself, wanting to help everyone who wants to be fitter, stronger, more body confident and anyone who has ever been nervous or afraid to see a PT or visit a gym.

Hopefully that gives a little insight to how I got here and what you can achieve if you train with me. Remember no matter where on the fitness or strength journey you are, I have been through that stage both mentally and physically.

If even just reading this inspires you to be 1% more, then I have done my job.
Big love from me!
